Common questions
What kinds of alerts does TofinoTV send?
Three opt-in tags: Storm (Pacific storm fronts approaching Tofino, usually 12-24 hours' notice), Sunset (when the Clayoquot Inlet sunset is doing something rare), and Whale (manual sends when whales are sighted near town).
How often will I get emails?
Storm alerts fire a few times per month in peak storm season (Nov-Feb), rarely otherwise. Sunset alerts are occasional. Whale alerts are infrequent and only sent when there's a real sighting.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes — every email has an unsubscribe link, per Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can also unsubscribe from specific tags while keeping others.
