About this cam
OrcaLab is a whale research station on Hanson Island, at the north end of Johnstone Strait off northeastern Vancouver Island. Streamed with Explore.org, this camera looks over Blackney Pass — one of the best places on the coast to see northern resident orcas as they gather each summer to follow the returning salmon past the Robson Bight rubbing beaches nearby.
